 We’d love to share how you can make a pawsitive difference at Alma ands Makko's Furry Friends, one of the loveliest ways to help is by becoming a fosterer. Our fantastic fosterers are absolutely essential to the adoption process. Without their warm hearts and caring homes, we wouldn’t be able to rescue or support any cats. We’re always on the lookout for new families to join our fostering community! 

What is fostering?

 So, what does fostering involve? Well, it’s all about welcoming a cat into your home for around 6 to 8 weeks—sometimes a bit longer! This time helps us understand their personality and what they might need in their forever home. You’d be surprised how many of our cats find their perfect match right with their foster families! We hold our so-called ‘failed fosterers’ in just as high regard as those who keep on fostering again and again. Every contribution is invaluable!

When it comes to finding cats in need of loving foster homes, we usually share these details with our approved fosterers first. However, from time to time, we might highlight some urgent cases on our Facebook group or here for those who have been waiting a bit longer.

 Help with transport

If you’re keen to foster but find that the cat you’re smitten with isn’t close by, no worries! We have a wonderful team of transport volunteers ready to help bring your future furry friend right to you. Thanks to their incredible efforts and our generous donations, we can connect more cats with their forever homes.
